In many short stories we have such kind of high comparative materials, for which the author provides a different speech altogether, he or she in the short story tries to being act two or three personalities together in order to compare or have a brief analysis among them. In the present short story William Somerset Maugham the author and Thomas Wilson are found compared with each other, in such a way that there comparison brings before us a compact of high characterisation so that the readers get to know about the total methodical comparative analysis of the characters. Where has we found Thomas Wilson is is found deeply a passionate character, the author or the narrator appears to be extremely curious regarding many things. On the other hand another one is highly and extremely passionates even attempts to risk his life for the sake of his own passion.
